Working late on a Sunday
As I was typing the title I realized that, in a way, it isn’t as late as the clock says, seeing how we moved them ahead today. The joy of daylight savings time. We spring ahead, all tired and grumbly, and fall behind, happy for the extra hour. Arbitrary seeming but important enough.
The last few days have been action packed but not in a way that is interesting. Though I’ve been working on school stuff, W. and I also began our quest to find a new bed and furniture for our bedroom. Shopping for furniture brings back the years I spent working for a furniture chain in northern Michigan. Those were the days. At least I thought they were at the time. Boy how things have changed.
Today was all about group meetings. And stir-fry. I had two long but productive group meetings then came home to relax a bit before diving into my tasks. W. and I chopped vegetables together to make a delicious shrimp stir-fry that we’ll enjoy over the week in the form of lunches. Delishious.
Finally spoke to my Mother today, catching up on the goings on in our lives. I know she reads this blog sometimes (Hi Mom!) but it isn’t the same as being able to talk with her and laugh about silly shix. I worry sometimes that I get too nerdy and intellectual (especially when we start talking about religion and the like) but she tends to keep me humble. Nice talking to you today mia-madre.
It is nearing 11pm, my designated time to crash and I am so ready. This week (shix, the next 5 weeks) are going to be vicious as the semester comes to an end and final projects and presentations come due. It’ll be fun, I’ve little doubt. Or something like it at least.
Image: I’m too tired to find a good and fitting picture for this post so settled on this shot I took on Wednesday while sitting in the student lounge waiting for class to start. The big screen you see is actually a touch screen. I haven’t played with it much but I think it’s pretty cool.

Read your blog today! The ones I have read are interesting. How was your stir-fry! Tell W. hello. love Brendama
Stir-fry turned out better than last time I made it. We used a good brown rice and chicken stock instead of water.
W. and I both had it for lunch today…she wasn’t crazy about the shrimps so I get extra.
Thanks for stopping by and thanks also for leaving a note.
