Preparing to party, clouds of academic obligations

My suitcase is mostly packed. I still need to shower then we’ll be hitting the road. This trip has been in the making since spring when we were invited to a friend’s wedding in the beautiful town of Charlevoix. And it is a gorgeous town.
W. borrowed a fancy camera that we’ll be trying out. My normal digital camera is great for how I use it, but I’ve been considering getting a decent camera for more ‘professional’ looking pictures. OK, I don’t really know what that means but I’m intrigued by photography as an expression.
I have a stack of articles to read on the way up and a highlighter ready to capture the attention of key things. We’ll be stopping to visit W.’s parents on the way. Their house is on the way and her father had cataract surgery yesterday, among other medical procedures. W. wants to see how he’s doing.
This trip is also our “anniversary” get-away of sorts. We didn’t have time really to get each other anything last weekend so our plan is to browse the shops tomorrow and pick out something nice for each other. That’ll be fun. And a great opportunity for cool pictures.
Must wrap up and “unplug”.
Image: I took this picture last night on my way to the parking garage after leaving a group meeting at the library. In the distance is the black “cube” that sits on a corner and can be spun if you push against it real hard. It’s a giant cube, probably 14 ft. tall. This fountain will be shut off and covered up soon so I liked the idea of getting a picture of it while it was running. Like me…I’m off.

except for the trees, your photo slightly resembles the fountain under the London Bridge in LH AZ – although LB’s is much larger and sprays from a circle (i think) – never mind, i guess the resemblance is that they both use water to create the attraction.
